It's been a long, long time. And I've tried blogging, I really did. You should see my drafts, I have the weirdest ideas and when I start writing them they don't seem that interesting anymore. So what about a life update?
My last blog was about my make up addiction, which I still do have. But I'm okay with it now. And I'm still a mess at handling money, which I still find terrible. Nothing much changed, right? Well, I cut my hair? If that counts. It's already a bit longer (I'm so bad at this blogging thing, oops). I cut out the ombre and styled it a bit with layers, I'm already in for something new. Anybody have any suggestions?
I've started out a new internship at a place called Spotzter.nl. It's an inspiration platform for anything special. Want to eat at a special restaurant? Need a really interesting gift shop? Want to go to a festival nobody has heard of yet? Spotzter is the place to find all that.
I really like it here, I like exploring and finding out special places.
I think 2014 is the year of concerts and changes. In the last month and a half I went to The 1975 ánd Panic! At The Disco. Both gigs were soooo good! I'm in love with both bands and I had the time of my life with my friends.
The 1975 was in Amsterdam at the Paradiso. It was a gorgeous venue, with a really cool ambiance. Because I'm really tiny I didn't want to stand in the crowd and see nothing of the boys. So we stood in the balcony, which was really cool because we could see literally everything and dance freely without people bumping into you. And the best thing was: Matty Healy (lead of The 1975) actually waved up at me a couple of times. He probably wouldn't remember that right now, but I do.
Panic! At The Disco was two weeks ago in Tilburg at the 013. One word: amazing. They were really good, they played old and new songs. Brendon Urie's voice is everything to me. The light show was stunning and complimented the feel of the music perfectly. The venue felt like a small arena, with the wide stairs going down to the stage.
I've started the 100 happy days challenge on Instagram, everyday I have to find something that makes me happy for the day. It sounds easier than it actually is, but I've learned that you can find happiness in the smallest things. I'm super cliche, I know. So check out my instagram to see what makes me happy, and maybe start the challenge yourself!
Well, I'll probably blog again in 3 years? If I'm lucky. Ha, no but really. I'll try to blog regularly.
What were the main events that happened to you in the past months? What are you looking forward to doing?
Lots of love,
Lamyae

Lana Del Rey is my Queen
Last Wednesday, 29 may 2013, I went to the Lana Del Rey concert at the Heineken Music Hall and I actually had the best time of my life.
When we arrived at the HMH there was already a good vibe going on, everybody was excited and everybody was in a good mood. We could sit/stand wherever we wanted so that was definitely a plus! So were exploring the venue a bit and trying out the best places.
We sat at the balcony when Kassidy (Lana's opening act) started up around 8 PM. I already knew them a bit so was excited that they were opening up for her. I've seen their Paradise Tour daily vlogs, so I knew they were hilarious but also very good. We had a pretty good view, but we wanted to get closer for Lana. Kassidy played a really good gig and they sounded perfect.
Lana came out around 9 PM, we were standing in the crowd and everybody went insane. But because I'm so tiny I basically went bananas for nothing lol! A very nice (and fabulously gay) guy lifted me up to let me see her a bit! After the first song (she actually started up with Pepsi Cola, so her first line was "My pussy tastes like Pepsi Cola") we decided to stand on the stairs. This actually was the best decision ever, there were not that many people on the stairs and we could sing along freely. We had a perfect view up there. And I swear to God that I saw Lana waving at me!
Lana was absolutely stunning and so so so nice. She came down to the audience to sign and take pictures about 3 times. She said she will be standing outside to take pictures after the show, but sadly I couldn't be there.
So my cheeky little monkeys, my girlcrush only went bigger and my obsession grew stronger. Go to see your favorite artists if you have the chance to, because those memories will last you a lifetime.
Love you lots,
Lamyae
PS. The Lana Del Rey Vlog will be going up soon!

I am a color runner!
Sunday was the first Dutch edition of The Color Run in Amsterdam. I've always read about the event and seen a lot of video's about it, so when I heard it came to Holland I was too excited!
I was lucky I got tickets because they started selling them at 10 am and they were sold out within half an hour.
I promised myself I would come prepared, but I guess I've started lying to myself. I never really got myself into shape so when Sunday arrived I was screwed. I really had a blast even though I didn't run the 5K at once. I loved the colors, the people, the atmosphere. Only in Holland would people be drinking beer and dancing right before the start of a 5K run. It really was the happiest 5K on the planet.
I think I'll be volunteering at the next event, I would love to be part of the organisation and see what's going on backstage.
The next run in Holland will be in Zwolle on 7th of July and Utrecht on 4th of august, tickets will be available 1st of June at 10 am. Be there, my cheeky little monkeys!
More pictures from my friends and me at the color run

PS. Vlog will be up on my YouTube Channel soon!
